Unfortunately we have had plenty of bad luck over the years with our family's cars but its always very reassuring to know that regardless of what happens it will all be fixed quickly to the highest of standards and at the best possible price by lee and bumps away. They have proven themselves time and time again to me and even if its a problem he himself doesn't deal with he will always has a contact to put you in touch with that can or find some solution.Rest assured, your car is in great hands.
Pretty poor to be honest. I emailed four companies, all in the same area and had four quotes back, all within 20 of each other. I chose them because of the good reviews and the excellent work Lee is meant to have done. Simple task of sorting a protruding bump in the bumper. I even bought a new blanking plate where the towbar would be screwed in, save them faffing around. First time, I got the car back, a few runs in the paint, blemishes and they missed filling the dink in the bumper below the blanking plate.Second time back the youngsters just buffed the heck out of the run and the blanking plate, so well in fact it went back to plastic.Third time back, they did do me a favour and sprayed a few marks to the left of the area, but still have the paint missing on the blanking plate and now if you look to the left where the spray ends, you can see where the new paint stops and the original starts.10/10 for effort, 2/10 for delivery.Anyhow, given that's the third trip, oh and I live in South London, so that's three lots of Dartford toll both ways, petrol and now another blanking plate 25 x2 and will either have a go with some T cut or see if I can get a local to sort out the overspray. Wouldn't mind but its a Merc and I have to give it back in a few years... so will have to get it done again. I did think I found a reputable place... seems the guys are eager and polite enough, just lacking quality assurance. Considering I was going back and forth over a six week period, I don't think I managed to get through to the boss once, access to the phones and email are given to the lads. Anyone ever seen the owner?
Lee and his team at Bumps Away provided me with a competitive, professional and friendly service from when I asked for a quote til when the work was completed. I had 2 bumpers scrapes repaired and painted on a metallic grey car and even though I knew where they were after repair they are invisible. 10/10, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Perfect job. A bit pricey. But worth it.
