NEVER USE O'DELL PLUMBING. I am completely disgusted with this company. Michael O'dell is a con-artist. I used O'Dell Plumbing to fit a power shower in my property and it has been a nightmare from start to finish. I have spend 3 months arranging the job. To start, Michael was uncontactable in regards to arrange a visit to my property to assess the workload. He called me back 2 weeks after my initial call, despite calling him numerous times and leaving countless voicemails. After arranging a day and time for him to come visit my property to asses the work, he turned up 2 hours late of which he left it 1 and a half hours after he had arranged to the appointment, to inform me he was going to be late. Upon arriving at my property he explained his proposal for carrying out the work and was proved very friendly and helpful. He had suggested installing a small shower screen as well to stop access water spilling over the baths side which I agreed. After his visit it then took a further 2 weeks to get back to me with a price and next available date for the work to be carried out (over 1 month from the date I was quoted for the work). On the day of the install, I was unaware an approximate time of arrival however after the plumber (not Mr O'dell) arrived at 9am and I must say was exceptionally good. He was thorough, he cleaned up by himself and he had the job done by 1pm. He was very efficient and friendly. Before leaving, he asked me to check to see if I was happy at which point I noticed the shower screen had not been fitted. He told me Mr O'dell had not provided him with a shower screen and he had no knowledge of this being included. When I questioned this, he called Mr O'dell who I later found out had responded "I have not ordered it, if she would still like this included I will order it and come back to fit it another day". Up until this point I had not paid anything for the work which was carried out and I was told Mr O'dell would contact me in due course for the payment. A week later Mr O'dell did contact me asking for payment and additional money if I wanted the shower screen installed. I was quick to question this due to verbally asking him to include this in the price which clearly he hadn't. I found this very misleading which I did explain to Mr O'dell and although he did offer to fit it for a reduced price, I feel it was not very fair as I would have not excepted the price had this been clearly outlined. At this point Mr O'dell insulted my intelligence saying "my common sense was lacking" and threatened to come to my property and take back the shower that had been installed if I did not pay the full amount, even though it was not clear the price agreed did not include the shower screen. I do not want this to happen to anyone else and would heavily advise NEVER using this plumber ever again. The business operates completely unprofessional and are no means reliable. I am just glad the nightmare is over.
