The Giggling Squid in Billericay is my go-to Thai restaurant in Essex. My wife & I love it and have gone there for years! We just recently went there on Friday. The place is chic, clean, cozy, and all round fab. The service was incredible... The staff are quick, attentive, and friendly. The food is DELICIOUS. I've never had any problems with the food. I have however noticed that the portions have been cut down considerably, while the prices have stayed the same/gone up. I recall when the Pad Thai dish was overflowing with gorgeous noodles, whereas now it's can be eaten between two people in a couple of spoon-fulls - this is something I'd like to see changed back to how it was. For now, 4* - but can easily be back to 5* when the portions are returned to what they were.
Part of a chain of Thai restaurants. Always popular and booking advised for peak times. Food normally very good. Service can vary but usually polite and attentive. Upstairs has a lowish ceiling which means sound travels. So not for a quiet Saturday night. Recommended if you like Thai.
Super Thai restaurant. Amazing food and great service. We went on new years day and ate from their lunch menu. Exceptional value for money. Will certainly go back
We went there for my sons 30th birthday. The staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing will definitely be going back.
The restaurant is always busy, so booking is recommended. When we finally managed to get a table, we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was good. Will definitely come again.
