Norsey Woods is an awesome adventure for the whole family, from world war practice trenches, to daycare and a dog-free picnic area! Makes it a pleasant walk for all involved
Large meadow often used by dog walkers. Also has developing woodland and wilder meadows good for birds, butterflies and a range of invertebrates.
Went for a walk here on the 21st February 2015. Beautiful Sunny day but it had been raining over the last few weeks so was quite boggy & muddy. There are a few entrances along Rosebay Avenue. There was also a path sign posted to & from Billericay High Street.Plenty of car park space for people that drive their dog's to the park? and plenty of signs to ask dog walkers to pick up dog poo. As usual not all of them do this. But in the main we didn't notice that much. We were surprised by the amount of abandoned filled dog poo bags. Some lovely meadows along the way and plenty of safe gates to stop cattle wondering around to other farmland. This is a great place and only a short walk from the busy Lake Meadows. great to listen to the birds sing and watch the changing colours of the leaves as the sun pops in & out.Must go back again soon and wear the right footwear for the trip.
